The story I’m about to tell is set around 2005, when the internet was a different place, a place where people could bond over their niche interest in small, self-carved corners of the web. A place where you really didn’t know the person writing on the other side of the screen. Yet a place where you could slowly grow authentic relationships that would last decades.

One day my curiosity pulled me to a very niche interest on the internet open sea: railway data. A barrage of questions hit my brain: is the data out there up to date? Is the data free? Is there any data at all?

Surrounded

Walking around I’m often surprised that nobody cares about the large tin-boxes around of us at all time. Taking space, speeding, polluting the air we breathe. Looking at the actual numbers, will shock you too.
